Today the Christchurch Running Festival took place. Though competitive, this is a friendly, local run. It started and finished on Stanpit Recreation Ground, next to the famous Stanpit Marsh, a site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Naturally, the runners were kept well away from birds or other wildlife!
There were 133 finishers. On the left is the winner, Billy McGeavy, proudly posing with his trophy for the day.
Below are some others who, though still competitive, were obviously having a great time!
