Well, in Thursday’s Christchurch Times, it was confirmed that it is to be demolished and 18 two-bedroom flats built. This was originally put forward by the hotel’s proprietors, but the plan was refused in July 2017. I understand that the wall, as part of the original boundary of Highcliffe Castle, should still be rebuilt.
