This is not one of my
notorious famous lengthy reports, but a few snapshots of a happy morning at the entrance to Sainsbury’s in Christchurch. This brass group and others – for example Diamond Divas – perform Christmas Carols and similar festive offerings for the shoppers.
Well, on Thursday 12 December 2019 I was delighted to see them here again. It was smiles all round, except when the brass players were actually playing, of course, and fundraising for Macmillan Cancer at the same time. Thanks to everyone for being so co-operative while this intrusive stranger was waving his camera around.
Thanks especially to Peter Guntrip, the conductor. It sounded so good that I decided to do a short video. As they were about to start I intervened and asked if he could do a lively number, and he duly obliged. Well worth watching, just over a minute and in the absence of the Diamond Divas they sang, too.
Bet you will join in! Go on – I defy you not to.
